Theme
Choosing a theme for your bridal shower can help guide the image of what the whole party is going to look like. The theme can make other details such as food, games, decoration, drinks and outfits fall right into place. Chose a theme based on your interest as a couple. Or choose something as simple as a color to set the vibe of your party. Some fun bridal shower themes are listed below.
Cincinnati Style Hawaiian Luau Picnic in the Park
Mexican Fiesta Breakfast at Tiffany’s French Riviera
Rustic Italian Carnival Fun Pancake Breakfast
Sweet and Spicy Hippie Chic Traditional Tea Party
Bright and White Glitter and Gold Morning Mimosas
Drinks
Drinks for your event should coordinate with the theme of your choice. For example, for a Cincinnati Style shower, you could make Rhinegeist your signature drink. At a Mexican Fiesta, you could serve Coronas and Margaritas. You can serve a tasty Italian Soda at a Rustic Italian shower or provide a frozen drink machine at a Hawaiian Luau. By continuing your theme throughout all aspects of the shower, you will create a wedding shower that will be memorable for years to come.
Food
Bridal Showers really give you the opportunity to have some fun with food options. Save the traditional sit down or dinner buffet for your wedding, and provide your guest with a playful brunch or hors d’oeuvres station style lunch for your upcoming shower. Keep in mind the theme you set for the event as well. Consider mini finger sandwiches and fruit salad for a picnic style shower. Or perhaps chicken and waffles if you’re going the sweet and spicy route. Need some snack ideas for your theme of choice? Leave a comment below. We’d be happy to help!

Fun and Games
What’s a party without any fun and games? After the food and gifts have been distributed and everyone’s had a couple of drinks, including a couple of games to end the event will ensure your guests leave happy and entertained.
Prior to the party, come up with a list of items that would commonly be found in a women’s purse. For example, tissues, lipstick, car keys, check book, etc. Include some more obscure items as well that could count for additional points such as 23 cents, a magnifying glass, floss, etc. Whichever lady has the most points (or items found) at the end of the game will win a prize.
This game is played just like traditional bingo, but with a twist. Instead of using numbers, the bingo boards will be filled out in advanced with answers to fact based questions about the bride or groom. For example, one question could be “Where did the bride and groom meet?” and the answer would be filled out somewhere on the bridal card. This is a fun way to keep guests entertained and learn a little bit more about the bride and groom. Note, a prize should be given to whichever guests finishes their board first.
To play this game, have the bride or a member of the bridal party compile a series of pictures of the bride and groom from over the course of their relationship. Then, have guests try to guess the order in which the photos were taken based on the relative age and body language between the couple. The photos should be randomly numbered so guests can simply rank the photos by number in the order in which they believe they were taken. Towards the end of the party, the bride can reveal the true order of the photos. This game can allow the guest to get a feel of the course of the love story between the bride and the groom.
