Cincinnati Event Venue Feature: Rhinegeist
Rhinegeist brewery made its first batch of beer in June of 2013. Since then, the local brewery, located in historic Over the Rhine, has expanded to include two newly renovated private event spaces, an over the top rooftop bar and a large public brewery and tap room. Rhinegeist is ideal for a date for two, a group outing of twenty, a wedding of three hundred and everything in between. What makes this event space so unique is it’s large variety of local beers, historic Cincinnati charm and the local hype that surrounds this popular space. Out-of-state visitors will be left with an upbeat and positive impression of the Cincinnati area and locals will be pleased in the way in which you incorporated a hometown favorite into your special event.
The Tap Room
Travel Advisor ranks Rhinegeist as #28 of 150 things to do in the Cincinnati area. Within the large taproom, there are always at least ten beers on tap for you to try. The space offers plenty of room for large groups to participate in corn hole, ping pong and foosball, or to sit around a picnic table or watch live sports on the HD TVs. There are also brewery tours available upon request. Reservations may be made for large groups, but are not necessary to make an appearance. Children are welcome in the taproom anytime during the week and before 8pm on the weekends. If you’re planning on catching a bite to eat, be prepared to grab something down at Findlay Market prior to making your way up to the Brewery, as Rhinegeist allows outside food but does not serve any of their own. Don’t forget to check out the roof top bar, the latest addition to this event center.
The Main Event Space
This spacious venue features beautiful, exposed brick walls and shiny pine wood floors. The large wood rafters and soft mix of natural sky lighting and small twinkling string lights gives the space a charming and rustic feel. With 6,000 square feet of space, the center features room for 10 cocktail tables, 10 rectangular tables, 30 rounds tables and 300 chairs. Use of this space provides guest to 10 Rhinegeist tap beers, basic table linens, and to public access of the brewery and tap room. Rhinegeist does not offer food, but Village Pantry Catering is permitted to access the full-service kitchen for catering special events. There are also optional features available such as custom Rhinegeist glassware, valet parking, audio visual equipment and a full beer, wine and liquor bar. This space would be ideal for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, etc.
The Annex
This semi-private space, mirrors the industrial feel present in the main event area and the public taproom. This smaller space provides accommodations for one hundred guest, including room for 10 cocktail tables, 10 rectangular tables and 10 round tables. With this space, guests are granted use of up to 8 Rhinegeist beer taps. This smaller venue would be ideal for rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, corporate events, etc. The roof top bar and open brewery are available for public access as well. Additional options such as catering, full-service bar, valet parking and audio visual equipment are also available.
The Beer
Rhinegeist offers an extensive variety of local brews at their Cincinnati location. From the blonde ale, Cougar to the pilsner Puma, to the robust porter Panther, there is a brew to quench anyone’s thirst at Rhinegeist.
